How to determine what size flag(s) to buy for your flagpole
To determine the correct size of flag(s) you can fly on your pole there is a simple formula.
Quite simply the length of the flag should be at least 1/4 the height of the flag pole. For example a 40 foot flag pole should have a 6x10 foot flag. This formula applies to all flagpoles 20 foot or taller.
Generally speaking residential flags will be 3x5' or 4x6', while industrial, municipal and government flags will be 8x12' and larger. However, the size of the pole is always the determining factor.
